Ingredients:

Sunflower Seed Oil blended with Vitamin E

Sunflower Seed oil is an excellent moisturizer and blended with Vitamin E adds an extra healer and moisturizer for your skin. Sunflower Seed oil also contains appreciable amounts of Vitamins A, D, and E.

The health benefits of Vitamin E include a reduced risk of cataracts, cancer, heart, and cardiovascular disease. It also helps in improving metabolism and the immune system, along with boosting stamina and vitality. The set of eight related Tocopherols is collectively known as Vitamin E. This vitamin is best known for its fat-soluble and antioxidant properties. Vitamin E is an essential vitamin for the human body. Out of the eight tocopherols, alpha-tocopherols are the most commonly available and are also preferentially absorbed and used by the body. Vitamin E is lipid-soluble, which means that it helps in cell-membrane stability. The antioxidant content in Vitamin E protects our cells from the negative effects of free radicals. Free radicals are the byproducts of our body’s metabolic process. These free radicals are harmful to our body as they damage cells, which further increases the chances of the body developing chronic diseases like cancer and other cardiovascular diseases. Vitamin E has the ability to limit the production of these free radicals, so it might help in the prevention of cancer and other chronic diseases.

Beeswax

Beeswax is a natural wax product produced in the beehive of honey bees. The wax is formed by the worker bees. It is estimated that bees collectively fly 150,000 miles, roughly six times around the earth to yield one pound of beeswax. Beeswax is a superior product when used as a base for products versus petroleum-based products.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil contained in our sports balm is known for both its warming and cooling properties. Friendly to the sinuses, peppermint is also useful to the muscular system, especially, for women during monthly cycles or menopause. Properties include being refreshing, a mental stimulant and energizing. It relieves bad breath and is a good nerve tonic that helps with mental fatigue and nervous stress.

Shea Butter

Shea butter is a slightly yellowish or ivory-colored fat extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree. Shea butter is a triglyceride (fat) and absorbs rapidly into the skin and helps nourish and moisturize the skin. The fruit of the shea tree is rich in vitamins, minerals, and proteins. Shea butter is used around the world for many beneficial uses. For instance, in Ghana, shea butter is used as a lotion to protect the skin in the dry season, and in Nigeria, it is used for the management of sinusitis and relief of nasal congestion.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is a fat obtained from the olive, a traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean basin. The oil is produced by pressing whole olives. Olive oil has a long history of being used as a home remedy for skincare. Egyptians used it alongside beeswax as a cleanser, moisturizer, and antibacterial agent since pharaonic times. Olive oil contains squalene which has been shown to be an anti-oxidant that works as a moisturizer and has a positive effect on seborrheic dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis.

Camphor

Camphor is a waxy solid with a strong aromatic odor. It is found in the wood of the camphor laurel, a large evergreen tree found in Asia, and also of Dryobalanops aromatic, a giant of the Bornean forests. It also occurs in some related trees in the laurel family, notably Ocotea usambarensis. Dried rosemary leaves in the mint family contain up to 20% camphor. In ancient and medieval Europe, camphor was used as an ingredient in sweets. Camphor is readily absorbed through the skin and produces a feeling of cooling similar to that of menthol and acts as a slight local anesthetic and antimicrobial substance. Camphor has been used in ancient Sumatra to treat sprains, swellings, and inflammation.

Menthol

Menthol is an organic compound made or obtained from corn mint, peppermint, or other mint oils. Menthol has local anesthetic and counter-irritant qualities. As a topical analgesic, it is used to relieve minor aches and pains, such as muscle cramps, sprains, headaches, and similar conditions, alone or combined with chemicals such as camphor.

Wintergreen Essential Oil

Wintergreen Essential oils are an organic ester naturally produced by many species of plants, particularly wintergreens. Wintergreen Essential oils are used as an analgesic in deep heating liniments.
